How We Test Tools
Last updated: March 3, 2026
This page documents how Vibe Economies evaluates tools referenced in our guides, comparisons, and listings. The goal is repeatable, evidence-led testing.
Scope
We currently test products in vibe coding and vibe tools categories. Any trading-related tooling is reviewed for workflow literacy and risk clarity only, not performance promises.
Evaluation rubric
| Criterion | Weight | What we check |
|---|---|---|
| Core capability | 30% | Does it solve the core use case reliably? |
| Output quality | 25% | Accuracy, consistency, and practical usefulness. |
| Safety and governance | 20% | Security posture, permissions, data-handling controls. |
| Usability | 15% | Onboarding friction, UX clarity, and docs quality. |
| Pricing and value | 10% | Transparent pricing, limits, and total-cost fit. |
Test evidence requirements
- Hands-on testing notes with date stamps.
- Screenshots or reproducible steps for key claims.
- Version and plan tier used during evaluation.
- Known limitations and failure modes.
Scoring and updates
- Scores are directional guidance, not guarantees of outcomes in your environment.
- High-change tool pages are re-reviewed every 90 days or sooner when a major release changes functionality or pricing.
